Forcey sponsors a wide range of girls clubs and has done so for many years. These clubs meet after school and in the evenings, catering to pre-school through high school girls and include young adults. The clubs operate under the umbrella of the national Pioneer Girls ministry with the focus of building up young women to love and serve Jesus Christ.
The clubs are specifically intended to provide fun and challenging activities for girls, opportunities for presentation of the gospel, spiritual growth and development, community service projects, and Christ-centered achievement opportunities and leadership training. There are frequent extracurricular and weekend activities, such as projects, trips, camping, etc., for those who desire a greater level of challenge and fun.
Participation in these clubs is not limited to Forcey members and attendees -- in fact, the clubs have been a fun and successful form of outreach to the community for many years. A large percentage of the participants do not attend Forcey and come from neighboring churches and the surrounding community. Anyone who knows of a child interested in the wonderful opportunities and activities these clubs have to offer should call the church office for further information on the specific age/group in question.
In addition, we are always looking for women who love to have fun, have a heart for girls and a desire to build into the lives of our next generation. At times, the lack of adult volunteers has seriously hampered our ability to effectively minister to the young girls in these clubs. If you have any interest in serving even in a limited-time capacity, please feel free to call as well.
